Eurocopter moving to Seletar by end-2010

Eurocopter - makers of helicopters - are investing around $12m in a new regional headquarters in Seletar Aerospace Park. They will be moving from their existing place at Loyang Way to a new 9,200 sqm facility by the end of the year, having started construction back in late-Oct 2009.

Looks like Seletar is set to transform even more!

Tanjong Pagar might become the next Marina Bay

The Economic Strategies Committee (ESC) - a government agency that "develops and recommend strategies to grow Singapore's future as a leading global city in the heart of Asia" - has suggested that Singapore convert the Tanjong Pagar port area into a waterfront city, much like Marina Bay.

Wonder if they'll spend hundreds of thousands on some foreign branding agency to help choose a new name for Tanjong Pagar.

Rolls Royce begins construction of Seletar factory

Singapore's Seletar Aerospace Park is taking off (pun intended). Originally put on hold at the start of last year thanks to the financial crisis, Rolls-Royce has officially begun construction of its $700m Asian campus.

The Seletar campus will include a factory that makes jet engine parts and a regional training centre and is slated to be completed in mid-2012.

Business Times: over 900 units sold by developers in Jan

According to the Business Times, based on a poll of developers on property agents, more than 900 private residential units have been sold by developers this month so far. With more launches on the way, they expect the number to exceed 1,000 units by the end of January.

Looks like 2010 is indeed shaping up very well for developers and property agents!
