As promised, HDB has launched two more BTOs as New Year 'Ang Paos' for couples looking for a home. One in Punggol (Punggol Crest) and the other in Woodlands (Treegrove@Woodlands). At a quick glance these two projects aren't exactly in very hot locations, but they do have their perks!

Punggol Crest:

Multi-storey car park spotted!

Punggol Crest is sited south of the town centre (~650m), and right beside the TPE. We believe this is another case of "so close to LRT lines yet so far..."

Double edged sword for residents? The large expressway will give residents facing it plenty of privacy from the nearest blocks, yet bring noise and dust. But if you are those that leave the air-con on the whole day...this might actually be great!

Indicative prices for the Punggol Crest flats. So-so.

Treegrove@Woodlands:

These brand new flats will surely stand out in Woodlands, with most of the nearby blocks built in the 90's.

Although about 900m from the MRT and town centre Treegrove@Woodlands sits beside 888 Plaza, a satellite mall.

Seems like it will be really convenient for residents, with 888 Plaza just next door. But take note of the MRT tracks just north of the project.

Prices are considerably cheaper than Punggol Crest.

Some units in Punggol Crest will get "unblocked views" while residents in Treegrove@Woodlands will get a mini mall next door. Not too bad at all! Anyone like these projects? Tell us here.
