CBRE: 14500 new private homes sales expected
That's according to CBRE, which brings that figure close to 2007's
14,811. However, the value of the transactions in 2009 is way way
lower, about 58% lower than 2007. Thanks to the multitude of mass
market and mid-end condos launched this year. Obviously.More small 'mickey mouse' apartments have also been released - 540caveats were lodged for homes smaller than 500 sqft. 2007 saw just 221 such caveats.
As of December, prices of new residential projects - from mass market to high-end - have returned to 2008 levels. CBRE forecasts home sales to be around the 8,000 to 10,000 range, with prices rising by 5-10%. However, the price rise might be exclusive only to the high-end segment.
